Innoventure Jr. - Student Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Las Cruces, NM – On this edition of PUENTES, bridges to the community, host Emily Guerra met with New Mexico State University Arrowhead Center’s Innoventure Director Amanda Bradford, and Program Specialist Cassie McClure, to talk to us about their new program - Innoventure Jr.

Bradford and McClure have visited more than a dozen classrooms in Las Cruces with an introduction to using Innoventure Jr. materials. It is a fun and free new curriculum available to elementary school teachers to introduce concepts of entrepreneurship and teamwork to their students through free online activity books, re-usable workbooks, and animated videos in English and Spanish. The hour-long classroom activity was designed as part of an expansion to provide Innoventure Jr. materials to more students throughout the state, and is funded by a generous grant from the Colorado-based Daniels Fund at www.DanielsFund.org.

Teachers can email Bradford at ambradfo@nmsu.edu or call 575-646-7148 to request materials, ask questions, or schedule a classroom visit from the Innoventure Team. To learn more about Arrowhead’s programs visit www.arrowheadcenter.nmsu.edu.
