September 5, 2014 – Las Cruces, NM - On this edition of PUENTES, Emily Guerra bridges the community with AVANCE-New Mexico Regional Director, Josie Ramirez; and AVANCE Citizen Advisory Board President, Oscar Vasquez Butler. Avance is a Spanish word meaning progress or advancement. AVANCE is a national two-generation education nonprofit organization dedicated to parental involvement and child development by providing innovative education and family support services to hard-to-reach families for forty years.
