June 2021 at the Deming Art Center will feature the work of Las Cruces artist Irma Lee. Irma specializes in Experiential Contemporary painting and traditional Southwestern artwork. With a Bachelor’s Degree from NMSU Lee has also studied with many artists in the area – artist mediums include acrylic, oil, watercolor and others. On a trip to New York, Irma fell in love with the big city nightscapes and historical architecture. She loved the colors, images and sounds that made for some great memories for future art endeavors. The Southwest is also a special place for Irma. She says, “It is a place abundant with life and color.” Sometimes, even she is surprised and finds herself painting “Out of the Box.” The Exhibit will run from June 2 – 29, 2021. The Deming Art Center is located at 100 S. Gold St. Deming, NM 88030. Gallery hours are 10AM – 4PM, Monday – Saturday.
