$200K helicopter donated to NMSU

Las Cruces, NM – Northrup Grumman has donated a $200,000 Yamaha remote control helicopter to New Mexico State University's College of Engineering. The unmanned aircraft vehicle, or UAV, will be helpful for student training. UAVs are used in an increasingly diverse number of areas, including defense, farming, and gathering data during wildfires and other emergencies. Senator Steve Fischmann Introduces Bill to Reform Tax Increment Development Districts

Las Cruces, NM – District 37 State Senator Steve Fischmann recently introduced a bill seeking to reform state policy on Tax Increment Development Districts, or TIDDs. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, Senate Bill 576 aims to create incentives for developers to bring in new businesses and economic activity to New Mexico.

IFCO Leader to Speak at NMSU

Las Cruces, NM – A nationally-recognized religious leader will speak at New Mexico State University this weekend.

The Rev. Lucius Walker, the executive director of IFCO the Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization .will speak at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday at NMSU's Corbett Center Ballrooms.

The IFCO .is the only ecumenical foundation committed exclusively to the support of community organizing.

Immigration Training for Businesses

Las Cruces, NM – The New Mexico Manufacturing Extension Partnership will present immigration training workshops for businesses on March 9 and March 13 at the DACC Workforce Center in Las Cruces. Businesses must register for the training by this Friday (2/20) by calling 505-262-0921.
