Swarm Of Bees Forces Closure Of Alameda Boulevard In Las Cruces

A large swarm of bees has stung at least one person and has forced the closure of south Alameda Boulevard between Amador Avenue and El Paseo Road.  The swarm was discovered at around noon on the 500 block of Alameda Boulevard.Las Cruces firefighters and entomologists are attempted to calm or remove the bees at this time.  Las Cruces police and firefighters are asking nearby residents to bring pets indoor and stay inside until the bees are under control.
