Interactive Kiosks Installed In Downtown Las Cruces

Guests to downtown Las Cruces now have help navigating the area.  Here is a statement from the The City of Las Cruces about installation of two interactive outdoor kiosks:

The kiosks are designed to engage tourists and connect locals by promoting events, shops, restaurants and attractions while providing wayfinding solutions that will showcase downtown businesses.

One of the kiosks is at the entrance of the Visit Las Cruces offices on the corner of Main Street and Amador Avenue. The second unit is on the west exterior wall of the stage at Plaza De Las Cruces.

“We’re very excited to have launched this project and we’re eager to see how the technology helps connect Las Cruces locals and tourists with businesses in our Downtown community,” said Mandy L. Guss, business development administrator for the City’s Economic Development Department.

The kiosks feature, highly configurable software with touch screens for easy interaction with digital information. The software allows downtown Las Cruces businesses to feature local dining spots, hotels, attractions and entertainment. Each listing can display photos, videos, interactive maps and written content. “This is a great way for residents to get involved with their community and for businesses to engage with their customers. We invite downtown businesses and the public to familiarize themselves with the kiosks,” Guss added.
