County Publicly Censures Schoonover

Las Cruces, NM – The Dona Ana County Commissioners publicly censured County Treasurer Jim Schoonover today over allegations the he and Deputy County Treasurer Jerry Wheeler used County employees and property to benefit the local Elks Lodge. The County's internal audit committee discovered the charges which were discussed during the commissions January 9th meeting. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, Schoonover was scheduled to make his rebuttal today, but only his attorney spoke.
