Community Meetings Set Regarding Dona Ana County Capital Projects

 

          A series of five community meetings – one in each of Doña Ana County’s five commission districts – has been scheduled to solicit public input on priority needs for capital-outlay funding in individual communities. Once a priority list is compiled, it will be used to lobby the 2013 New Mexico Legislature for funding.

            District 3 Doña Ana County Commissioner Karen G. Perez will host the meeting in her district at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at the Las Alturas Fire District, 4145 Cholla Dr.

            District 5 Doña Ana County Commissioner Leticia Duarte-Benavidez will host the meeting in her district at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at the Radium Springs Community Center, 10260 Lindbeck Rd.

            District 4 Doña Ana County Commissioner Scott A. Krahling will host the meeting in his district at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at the Butterfield Community Center, 7350 Berry Patch Rd.

            District 2 Doña Ana County Commissioner Dolores Saldaña-Caviness will host the meeting in her district at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at the Betty McKnight Community Center, 190 County Line Rd.

            District 1 Doña Ana County Commissioner Billy G. Garrett will host the meeting in his district at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at the Vado/Del Cerro Community Center, 180 La Fe Ave.

            Staff from the Doña Ana County Community Development Department will be on hand at each of the community meetings.
