Candidate Forums In Las Cruces

Las Cruces— Temple Beth-El will host two political forums with candidates this month.  The first forum is tonight, Tuesday, October 9, at 6:30pm-8:30.  At tonight’s forum, candidates for two state house districts have been invited for the first hour: District 35, Angelica Rubio (I,D) who has no opponent; and candidates for District 37, Jonathan Kyle Allen (R) and Joanne Ferrary (I,D).  The second hour, candidates for Doña Ana County Sheriff have been invited: Todd Garrison (R) and Kim Stewart (D).

On October 16, 6:30-8:30pm, candidates for Congressional District 2 have been invited for the first hour: Xochitl Torres Small (D) and Yvette Herrell (R).  For the second hour, candidates for the Public Regulation Commission, District 5 have been invited: Ben L. Hall (R) and Steve Fischmann (D).

Questions will be developed by Temple Beth-El’s Adult Education/Social Action committee, and written questions will also be taken from the audience.  There will be an opportunity for coffee and socializing after both of the forums.  The public is encouraged to attend the events.
