Adult Summer Reading Program In Las Cruces

Thomas Branigan Memorial Library invites adults, ages 18 and older, to take part in the 2013 Summer Reading Program: “Groundbreaking Reads.” The program runs through July 12 with reading challenges, prizes and special events. It also includes the following programs:

 

June 5Some Like It Hot!Red or Green Chile or "Christmas" Active workshop that includes a food demonstration.  Karim A. Martinez, Doña Ana Cooperative Extension.

June 11 – “”Caves of New Mexico”, With a special emphasis on Fort Stanton Cave, Lincoln County, presented by Steve Peerman, Mesilla Valley Grotto

June 19“Digging for your Roots: How to research your family history”, Will discuss resources at your library, free websites and other materials to aid in research.

June 26“Make Your Own Beaded Foot Jewelry”, Make your foot accessory for the summer. Registration is required. Supplies provided. By Branigan Library Staff.

July 3 –“The Rift & the River”, 36 Million Years of New Mexico History.  Rock samples will also be displayed. Kimberly Hanson, Museum of Nature & Science.

July 9“Make Your Own Book Planter”, Come make a homemade book planter. Registration is required.  Presented by Branigan Library Staff.

ALL Programs are presented from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Roadrunner Room.
