Pfizer Donates $3.5 Million to Border Health

Las Cruces, NM – Wednesday pharmaceutical company Pfeizer announced it's donating 3.5 million dollars to ten community health centers along the U.S. Mexican Border. The company has formed what it calls The Alliance for a Healthy Border with sixteen health centers in both nations. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, the money will be used specifically for diabetes prevention and awareness.

Last Day of School: Mesilla 5th Graders Ready For Middle School Challenges

Mesilla, NM – Fifth graders at Mesilla Elementary School ended their school year in a standing room only auditorium. This wasn't the usual graduation ceremony in front of family and friends. Believers ask for Blessing from Patron Saint

Las Cruces, NM – San Ysidro is known as the patron saint of farmers and ranchers. According to legend, he was a poor Spanish farmer who spent his time praying rather than plowing his fields. To reward him for his faith, God sent him an angel to help with the plowing. KRWG's Lily Olivas was recently at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum for the 7th annual Fiesta de San Ysidro, which was kicked off with a ceremony to bless the fields.
