Las Cruces, NM – This weekend a New Mexico State University student will embark on a nation wide tour to promote HIV testing and awareness with the Who's Positive organization. The Pennsylvania based group encourages high school and college students to know their HIV status. Finance Authority Committtee Meets With Local Government Officials

Las Cruces, NM – The New Mexico Finance Authority Oversight Committee held a series of meetings in Dona Ana County last week. The committee which is made up of State Senators, and Representatives, heard from local government officials about their upcoming projects, financial needs and concerns. Hatch Mayor, Judd Nordyke spoke to the committee about his communities need to create a flood control district around the Placitas Arroyo.

A recent decision by a judge in Albuquerque rejected a lawsuit by environmental groups who tried to stop drilling for oil.
