Santa Fe, NM – Michelle Obama was in New Mexico Thursday. She stopped first in Santa Fe, where she held a roundtable discussion on military families. Obama emphasized that if elected president, her husband, Democratic candidate Barack Obama, would have a more responsible approach to war than either President Bush or Republican candidate John McCain. Albuquerque, NM – The secretary of state's office is dismissing criticism of its hiring of a Senate candidate's relative as elections director. Secretary of State Mary Herrera on Friday announced she'd hired James Noel as elections director, filling a position that had been vacated by former director Daniel Soto.
