Census Workers Plan to visit every Southern New Mexico Residence

Las Cruces is Getting Vet Museum

Las Cruces, NM – The City of Las Cruces will be home to the state veteran's museum, that word from the Governor's office.

In a press release, Governor Bill Richardson announced he will visit Las Cruces Friday to sign House Bill 59 calling for the creation of a Veterans Museum in the southern New Mexico city.

The measure cleared the senate over the weekend after being approved in the house with unanimous support. The bill was sponsored by Las Cruces state representative Jeff Steinborn.

Omnibus Public Lands Act Clears the House

Las Cruces – The United States House of Representatives passed the Omnibus Public Land Management Act today by a vote of 285 to 140. The bill which cleared the Senate last week, will designate over 2 million acres of public land as wilderness.
